The Division of Emergency Medicine in the Department of Pediatrics offers a number of training opportunities, including:
Resident Electives and Rotations
Pediatric residents spend at least one month of their three-year pediatric residency in the emergency centers of Texas Children's Hospital and Ben Taub Hospital. In addition, emergency medicine and family medicine residents from programs outside of ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï of Medicine rotate at Texas Children's Emergency Center to gain experience in the care of pediatric patients requiring emergency care.
Core Pediatric Emergency Medicine Elective
During their core pediatric rotation, ºÚÁÏÍø±¬³Ô¹Ï of Medicine medical students spend two weeks in the Texas Children's Emergency Center.
